Provides financial assistance individuals who are in need, meet certain income and resource guidelines, have an illness or incapacity expected to last 12 months or more, and have applied at the Social Security Administration for Supplemental Security Income (SSI).
Provides financial assistance on behalf of deceased indigent individuals who or whose families have no resources to pay for the cost of a public burial.
Vendor payments are made on behalf of needy individuals who meet program resource and income guidelines to pay for the cost of prescription medicines and supplies. Payments are limited to $50 per month for prescription drugs and $25 per month for medical appliances/supplies prescribed by a physician, for a maximum of 6 months in a twelve consecutive month period.
Provides financial assistance to the caretakers of needy children under the age of 18 for whom the degree of relationship with the caretaker adult cannot be traced. Children in this program are also eligible for Medicaid.
