Sponsored by the Virginia Beach Shag Club, The Virginia Beach Junior Shaggers are composed of youth age 8-20 who are learning one the south's most unique dances, the Carolina Shag, and having a good time! The Junior Shaggers meet the first Sunday of each month, normally, at the Mt. Trashmore YMCA at 3:30 pm. We are active in Community Sponsored Events and share good times at our planned social events. We are dedicated to passing on to the next generation The Carolina Shag dance and the comaraderie that comes with it, as well as those terrific Beach, Boogie and Blues tunes! All interested youth age 8-20 are encouraged to be part of the Virginia Beach Junior Shaggers. Line dances are also taught at the end of each session.
