Peninsula Boys & Girls Club
Board of Directors

What does the Board of Directors Do?
  1. It inspires and leads. Our Board has the opportunity and responsibility to inspire and leaad our five groups -- the youth in membership, the contributors, the communities we serve, the general public, and the staff of the Boys & Girls Club.
  2. It identifies the purpose of the Boys & Girls Club and develops short and long term goals consistent with that purpose. It plans.
  3. It provides the financial support necessary to enable the staff to carry out the stated purpose of the Boys & Girls Club.
  4. It assures that the Boys & Girls Club cooperates wisely with other organizations, government and voluntary. It is through cross contacts and use of other services that our purpose is fulfilled.
  5. It encourages experimentation, the trying out of new approaches and programs to achieve our goals. It ensures that the Boys & Girls Club is continually renewing itself, being constantly in touch with and up to the times. A good Board avoids "organizational senility."
  6. It organizes itself. It creates the best organization and selects the best people to get the job done. The work of the Board of Directors is carried out through committees: Budget and Finance, Personnel, Insurance, Memorials and Endowments, House and Grounds, Program and Nomination.
