Following the veterans ceremony, special events were held throughout the day featuring traditional Korean dance and music performed by the Professional Korean Folk Dance Team from Goyang City in Kyung-Ki Doj, Korea and by the Horch Lee Dance Group of Newport News, Virginia. One of the most significant accomplishments during the day was the recording of five oral histories from Korean War Veterans. These individual histories are being added to others maintained in the Memorial’s Archives. Throughout the day, more than 600 guests participated in these events and special Korean art and cultural activities that highlighted the enduring friendship between the United States and the Republic of Korea.
